1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Rankona ("the Service"), operated by Suciu I. Ioan-Daniel Persoană Fizică Autorizată (CUI: 53440010, Alba Iulia, Romania), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Rankona is a web-based platform that helps businesses view, manage, and respond to their Google Business Profile data from a centralized interface. Features include profile health checks, bulk editing, AI-powered post generation, review management, reputation alerts, and local rank auditing.

3. Eligibility

To use Rankona, you must be at least 16 years of age and have the legal right and authority to manage the Google Business Profiles you connect to the Service. By using Rankona, you represent and warrant that you are an authorized owner or manager of the business profiles you access through the platform.

4. Account & Google Authorization

To use Rankona, you must sign in with a Google account that has access to Google Business Profiles. By connecting your Google account, you authorize Rankona to:

• Read your Google Business Profile data (listings, reviews, posts, photos, metrics).
• Make changes to your profiles on your behalf (edits, posts, review responses) when you initiate those actions.
• Store your encrypted OAuth refresh token on Vercel-hosted infrastructure. Decryption occurs in server memory only when making API calls on your behalf — decrypted tokens are never persisted to disk or logs.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You may revoke access at any time through your Google Account settings or by deleting your Rankona account.

5. Permitted Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You may not:

• Use the Service to violate Google's Terms of Service or Business Profile guidelines.
• Post misleading, fraudulent, or spammy content through the Service.
• Use the Service to send bulk spam reviews, fake posts, or any form of automated abuse.
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or misuse the Service or its APIs.
• Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm others.

6. AI-Generated Content

Rankona offers AI-powered features for generating business posts and review responses. AI-generated responses are suggestions only. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving any AI-generated content before it is published. We do not guarantee the accuracy, appropriateness, or compliance of AI-generated content with Google's guidelines. Rankona is not liable for any consequences arising from content you choose to publish through the Service, whether AI-generated or not.

7. Data Handling & Security

We take data security seriously. The Service is hosted on Vercel. OAuth refresh tokens are encrypted at rest (AES-256) and decrypted in server memory only when needed — decrypted values are never written to disk, logs, or any persistent storage. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Your Google Business Profile data is cached temporarily to provide fast dashboard performance and is refreshed regularly. 8. No Guarantees on Rankings or Revenue

Rankona is a management tool. We do not guarantee any increase in search rankings, visibility, customer traffic, sales, or revenue as a result of using the Service. Local search rankings are determined by Google's algorithms and are outside our control.

9. Google Profile Suspension Disclaimer

Google may suspend, restrict, or remove business profiles at its sole discretion for violations of its policies. Rankona is not responsible for any suspension, restriction, or removal of your Google Business Profile by Google, whether or not the action is related to your use of the Service. You are responsible for ensuring that all content and actions taken through Rankona comply with Google's Business Profile guidelines.

10. Service Availability

We strive to keep Rankona available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service depends on third-party APIs (including Google's) which may experience outages or changes beyond our control. We may also perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability.

11. Payments & Subscriptions

Certain features of Rankona may require a paid subscription. Payment terms, pricing, and billing cycles will be displayed at the time of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact us within 14 days of a charge to request a refund. Payment processing is handled by our third-party payment provider; we do not store your full credit card details.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rankona and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of data, revenue, business opportunities, or damages resulting from Google profile suspensions. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Account Deletion & Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account, or by emailing privacy@rankona.com. Upon account deletion, we permanently remove all your data, including your profile, encrypted OAuth tokens (Google API access is revoked), cached business data, AI-generated content history, and alert settings. This process is irreversible.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, including but not limited to using the Service for spamming, abuse, or fraudulent activity. In that case, the same data deletion process applies within 30 days of termination.

14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Romania. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the use of the Service shall be resolved by the competent courts in Alba Iulia, Alba County, Romania.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on our website. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
